Call for Expression of Interest
Opens Wednesday 16 October and closes 12pm Wednesday 30 October.
The Mid Ulster Hardship Fund is open to organisations providing foodbank services in the Mid Ulster district.
The definition of a foodbank organisation for the purposes of this Fund is, an organisation which gives out emergency food parcels/vouchers and/or home heating oil/vouchers support, on a weekly bases and has been running for six months or more.
Funding is intended to cover costs such as purchase of food items/food vouchers and/or the purchase of home heating oil/vouchers, for distribution to people in need.
Interested organisations are invited to complete an Expression of Interest Form.
Guidance Notes are also available.

Please note, funding is limited and therefore all Expression of Interests are subject to assessment.
Round 3 will open for online applications on Thursday 3 October at 9am and Close on Friday 1 November at 12noon. Only applicable for ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’ Grants as all other budgets have been exhausted.

We will re-open in January/February 2025 for activity in the 2025-2026 financial year.

Community and Voluntary Sector Governance
The proper governance of local Community and Voluntary Sector organisations is a necessary requirement for any group wishing to access publicly supported grant aid to ensure there is openness, transparency and accountability.
The Council have linked with Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action (NICVA) to provide advice, information and practical support on a wide range of matters from charity regulations to dealing with governance issues of management committees.
