Certificates
Our local registration offices are only able to provide certificates of births, still births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships at the time of registration.
To obtain copies of certificates after registration, you can apply by any of the following ways:
Online: General Register Office (GRONI)
By phone: 0300 200 7890
By post: Application forms are available at any registration office or can be downloaded online from GRONI.
In person:The General Registry Office, NISRA, Colby House, Stranmillis Court, Belfast BT9 5RR.
Currently, the cost for a certificate is £15 (plus postage if overseas). If needed urgently, a Priority Certificate costs £20. If the order is received before 12 noon on a working day, the certificate will be posted the same day.
