Active Lifestyle Programme

Our Active Lifestyles programmes helps people throughout the district get active more often and runs from Saturday 23 September 2024- March 2025.

Each session/class costs only £1.10 (not covered by membership).


Sessions are usually held in leisure centres and sports arenas throughout the district and aim to provide activities for groups who may find it more difficult to find opportunities to be active that suit their particular needs.

Activities centre on children and young people with disabilities, their carers and families; new mothers and older people.

Post Natal Yoga
A class for Mum to build strength and reconnect after baby. Exercises are tailored to the postnatal phase and designed to help you recover, release tension, and ease yourself back to exercise. (Baby is welcome along).

Tai Chi  
This low impact exercise focuses on a series of slow and gentle movements that strengthen your body and improve mobility.

Strength & Balance 
An exercise programme designed to help boost confidence, improve flexibility, mobility, strength and balance, and maintain bone health.

65+ Thursday 1.45pm - 2.45pm

Chair-based Aerobics
An activity that allows those with mobility or balance issues to exercise whilst seated.

All Stars
A multi-activity club focusing on facilitating primary school aged children with SEN to do things at their own pace and to enjoy movement and fun games.

LIIT (Low Intensity Interval Training)
Low impact exercises performed in intervals followed by a slower paced recovery period providing your body with many health benefits.
