Ballygawley Nature Walk and Garden is a joint project between Mid Ulster District Council and Ballygawley Area Development Association Ltd. (BADA).
The site has a combined wildlife garden and nature walk with a number of integrated raised beds and growing spaces for community gardening.
Much of the surrounding existing hedging and naturally established willows and shrubs have been kept to maintain habitats for wildlife and to provide natural boundaries. A simple wood bark path has been constructed to lead visitors through the garden to a bird watching shelter – in the form of a living willow dome.
Gardening spaces are different to having an allotment, as the spaces are smaller, consisting only of a raised bed or a small corner tucked away among bushes or wildflowers.
