Mid Ulster Grant Aid Programme Opens in New Year

The Council’s Community and Voluntary Sector Grant Aid Programme will open for online applications on Friday 17 January 2025.

Information sessions are being held across Mid Ulster in January for groups hoping to secure funding from the Council’s Grant Aid Programme. The grants cover a wide spectrum of activities within Mid Ulster, including arts, culture, environment, sport, events and infrastructure.

Under the small development grants, funding of up to £1,500 is available, while grants of up to £3,500 will also be available for community venues and facilities. Groups organising large public events providing for the whole of Mid Ulster, that are of a significant size and bringing people into the area, can access funding of up to £8,000, while up to £1,500 is available for smaller local events.

Grant information sessions will take place at 7pm on Tuesday 14 January at the Burnavon Theatre, Cookstown, Thursday 16 January at Ranfurly House, Dungannon, and Tuesday 21 January at Magherafelt Council offices.  An online session will also be held on Thursday 23 January at 7pm via MS Teams. To register for any of these sessions please click here.

Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Eugene McConnell is encouraging groups to avail of the funding.

With the grant funding available there is the potential for some fantastic projects, events and activities to be completed across the district that could make a huge difference to our local communities. Applications can be made online via the Council’s website from the earlier date this year of Friday 17 January. I would encourage any groups interested in applying to register for an information session and find out how they can benefit from the grants available.

Applications for the Council’s Community and Voluntary Sector Grant Aid Programme will open on Friday 17 January and close on Friday 14 February at 12noon.
