Invitation for Expression of Interest from Sports Clubs

The Council is inviting local sports clubs to submit an Expression of Interest to lease the following sites:

  1. Glenone Recreational Area

  2. Clady Recreational Area

  3. Boyne Row Recreational Area & Pavillion

  4. Beechway Recreational Area & Pavillion

Mid Ulster District Council is inviting Expressions of Interest from any Sports Clubs who wish to lease designated site boundaries at any or all of the above sites for sporting purposes only.

Expressions of interest will only be accepted from fully constituted, not for profit sports clubs playing sports that are recognized by Sport NI, and which are located in the Mid Ulster District Council area.

Application details along with further supporting information can be requested in writing to the Open Spaces & Recreation Department, Dungannon Park, Moy Road, Dungannon, BT71 6DY or by email to parks@midulstercouncil.org by 4pm on Wednesday 18th December 2024 quoting the above corresponding number and site location the club may be interested in.

Thereafter, clubs will be sent the application details along with further supporting information with a specified deadline for return of an application and as part of this process any interested sports club must be able to provide the following information as part of the application process:

  1. Number of existing members and/or players currently in the organization

  2. Number of existing teams currently in the organization.

  3. Detail on the current standard of leagues played in.

  4. A Development Plan for the leased areas to include:

  1. Proposals on how the club will develop members/players numbers, teams and standard of leagues played in;

  2. Proposals on how the club will approach maintenance and development of the pitch(es);

  3. Identification of grant funding that will be applied for.

  1. Financial standing and evidence of sustainability of potential lessee.

The Council is currently seeking expressions of interest only and there is no commitment on any party to move any proposal forward, and the Council may cease the process at any point.  Any submissions are done so at the proposer’s risk, and the Council will accept no responsibility for any expenses incurred.
