Get Ready for the "Party in the Garden" at Maghera Walled Garden
Get ready for a day of excitement and laughter as the much-loved Family Fun Day returns to Maghera Walled Garden with a thrilling "Party in the Garden" on Saturday, 7 September.
Hosted by Mid Ulster District Council, this annual event is a firm family favourite, promising an unforgettable afternoon filled with joy, adventure, and entertainment for all ages from 12noon to 4pm.
The garden will be buzzing with activities that will keep the whole family entertained. Young adventurers can embark on the Garden Ranger’s Quest, and for those with a creative streak, Lego and slime-making workshops will be in full swing, offering the perfect outlet for little builders and goo enthusiasts alike.
Dance lovers won’t want to miss the high-energy dance workshops, designed to get everyone moving and grooving. Plus, there will be live, interactive shows featuring the ever-popular Blippi and Miss Rachel, sure to delight fans both young and old.
For an extra dose of fun, Bubble Bike performers will pedal your way through a cloud of bubbles, or head over to the Sports Zone where you can show off your football skills or take aim in the paintball target shooting range inside the Garden.
And when it’s time to refuel, you can treat your taste buds to a variety of delicious eats. From sizzling BBQ and gourmet coffee to sweet treats and ice cream, there’s something to satisfy every craving.
This event is completely free, but don’t forget—tickets are required to join in the fun. Free tickets will be available starting at 12 noon on Tuesday, 27 August, so make sure to grab yours early and secure your spot in the garden.

The Maghera Walled Garden event is a fantastic family event to round off the summer, as children return back to school. With lots of free entertainment and activities available, we have no doubt the ‘Party in the Garden’ will be extremely popular and advise anyone who would like to attend to book your free ticket early to avoid disappointment.

Each ticket permits one hour admission to the garden, time slots available include: 12pm-1pm, 1pm-2pm or 2pm-3pm. When booking your tickets, please complete the order form choosing your arrival time to register for one free ticket for every person attending, including children. All activities taking place on the green and on the lane do not require a ticket.
