Accessible Parking

Off-street parking enforcement
From 2 April (no charge on 1 April), Mid Ulster District Council in consortium with eight other Councils will deliver enforcement in our car parks. This will be carried out by Marston Holdings Ltd with some minor changes:

Traffic attendant’s uniforms will now be blue

Penalty Charge Notices issued will look slightly different

Failure to pay your fines could lead to your car being clamped
On-street car parking
On Street car parking does not change, the responsibility remains with the Department for Infrastructure (DfI). You can find information about on-street car parking on the nidirect website.
Season tickets
You can purchase a monthly or quarterly season ticket for some of our car parks at a reduced parking rate. If you want to buy a season ticket, call Marston Holdings - NSL Limited on 03330 068351 . All season ticket prices apply for parking Monday to Friday.
Traffic Attendants
From 27 November 2024, Traffic Attendants (TA’s) operating in Mid Ulster District Council car parks will wear cameras while carrying out their role.This is to support the health and safety of the TA’s. It can support prosecutions against anyone who is violent or abusive to our officers.
The cameras record video and audio and will be attached to the TA’s uniform at chest height.
For the camera to record footage, the TA must switch it on and off. The TA will announce that they are going to start recording. The TA begins recording if they feel that they are in a situation where it will help with their safety.
All footage will be encrypted and stored securely. The TA’s are not able to view or edit any footage. The recordings are kept for 45 days unless there is a lawful need to keep them longer.
